Dear Counilman Ed Reyes,
Hello my name is Monica Saldana. I'm a 6th grade student at CALS, and i would like to talk to you about problems in our communities.
The first problem in our communitiy is Digital Divide is just like when some people have good education and some student didn't get get the same education in computers. I feel that that's a problem because the student who had the good education will have a good job when he/she is older. It's sad to say but the other student who didn't have a good eduaction will be doing bad things or not have a good a very good job. What I don't understand is why the students who don't get a good education not have the same education as the students who do. I think that the parents of the student thatr didn't get a good education never got the education as well. That's why i think its not fair that one student gets a good education and the other student didn't get as good of an education.
I feel that I can help solve this problem by helping my classmates with their work or I will go to my old elementary school and help them with computers and tell them about helping the communities, and how we can make it better and find a solution to the problems. I feel that it will work because I will show them with an example or I can take them to my middle school CALS, so they can learn more , about computers. I can become a teacher to the smaller kids. I feel that they need a computer for jobs because most jobs requir a computer. That's how I can help our communities. What i wish to express is that can you please help me help the communities. I feel that if we can help the communities we can stop the problems of many students not having a good education.
Sincerely,
Monica Saldana
